After the yarns are repeatedly dyed, it is woven into cloth resulting in beautiful patterns on the fabric. The beauty of ikat is the ‘blurriness’ that results on the fabric. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe weavers are extremely skilled and work efficiently on handloom to create the fabric Jamdani is a discontinuous weft technique of weaving. The motifs are inlaid into the fabric when the weaver adds denser thread to fine warp threads by hand. This handloom weaving technique to achieve the motifs is labour intensive and time consuming.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJamdani is believed to be a fusion of the ancient cloth-making techniques of Bengal. The weave is indigenous to Bangladesh.
