Batik is a technique of Hand block printing achieved through resist dyeing. The patterns and designs are created with a resist-dye, made from hot wax and plant resins.

The fabric goes through many stages of washing, soaking and dyeing. The shielded patterns are then scrapped off to product a different colour. The process is repeated as many times as the number of colours desired.
