HIJIBIJI -the chaotic calm

HIJIBIJI is a Bengali word meaning everything unstructured - uncertain, unpredictable, scribble… this sustainable clothing collection is all about how we managed to discover calm in all the “Hijibiji “ we lived through in the last 18 months.

Celebrating the heritage, culture and craft forms of our country along with the talents behind them, staying conscious and mindful of being socially and environmentally relevant in the journey of making eco friendly clothes has been the reason “WHY” Prathaa does what it does .

With hiji biji we move a step forward with the same vision of reaching a step closer to sustainable fashion. With all the chaos around us during the pandemic, we can't deny the feeling of silent calm. It is during the most difficult times, that one gets to know themselves better. And exactly that is how we came up with our new collection with no visibly common theme (unlike most collections) but only the “order in chaos” that we found my immersing ourselves in it..
Hiji Biji represents chaotic calm, a feeling of comfort in no structure, yet anchoring oneself through a process.

This eclectic mix bag of emotions and designs has handloom cotton outfits that define upcycled fashion with Khesh dresses - upcycled fabric , to organic Kala Cotton from Kutch, which defines sustainable clothing .We also have the richness of Jamdani Cotton dress to co-ordinates in Ajrakh hand block printed Cotton skirts, Ajrakh set to enjoy as casual dresses and also style it to pump it up for a formal occasions .
